Modulations
Lighting, besides being the guide to experience the space, is also related to modulations in this nocturne. The lighting becomes brighter when the music is in major, and dimmer when it comes to minor. Op.27 no.2 has D-flat major, b-flat minor, e-flat minor, and A major. In this case, D-flat major has a slightly warmer tone than A major, and b-flat minor is warmer than e-flat minor as well.
